1. Services
We provide historical market data, backtesting reports, code reviews and educational workshops. The scope, price and timeline of each engagement are set out in a written quote you approve.
2. No investment advice
DataBacktest is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or financial planner. Nothing on this site or in our deliverables is a recommendation to buy or sell any security or a solicitation of any kind. See our Risk Disclaimer.
3. Payment
Fees are due as stated on the invoice. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
4. Data licensing
Data we deliver is licensed for your internal research use only and may not be resold or redistributed unless agreed in writing.
5. Your materials
You retain ownership of strategies and code you provide. You grant us a limited license to use them solely to perform the services. We keep them confidential.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, or use our services for unlawful purposes.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for trading losses or indirect damages.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hancock County, West Virginia.
